about

One of the more popular old cassette releases, at least it's more requested than any other. It's been kindly put onto CDR by Jack Mccafferty and the quality is better than I hoped, requiring almost no work from me, which is how I like it. I butchered my original Rotoring pen artwork to make a cover, sorry I did it quickly while the files were being uploaded.

Music Inspired by Duncton Wood dates from 1985 and, as I listen through, I can hear instruments that I owned briefly but didn't keep, including the Roland SH-2, Yamaha CX5M 'music computer', a very cool vocoder whose name escapes me and several others.

It has a similar cheese content to a lot of my old stuff but also some moments to be moderately pleased with, at least I think so. The last track makes me smile - it's one I still play on the piano from time to time and I'd forgotten where it came from.

Finally, my sincere apologies if it doesn't sound as good as you remembered it.

Dedicated to my wife Pat.
